Two new generation Airbus A330-900neo are joining the two current A340-300 in Air Belgium’s fleet. These new aircraft are offering even greater flight experiences with the latest technologies on board and better environmental performances, and on the freighter activity, two B747-8F have recently been added to the fleet.  

Purpose of the position...

  • Manage and evaluate local recruitment processes in order to consistently and efficiently attract and select the right people.
  • Provides input into and assists in the implementation of Appraisal process and its follow-up.
  • Provides input into and assists in the implementation of learning & development policies in line with the HR strategy.

Main activities and responsibilities…

Recruitment & selection management & deployment
  • Coordinate and evaluate local recruitment processes, programs and policies in order to consistently and efficiently attract and select the right people.
  • Implement divisional recruitment processes, tools and regular reporting to the Senior Management.
  • Formulate and implement local recruitment and selection policies in line with local laws and regulations.
  • Research, establish and maintain relationships with the agencies & consultants able to satisfy the recruitment needs.
  • Follow-up of the performance of external suppliers to ensure qualitative services are provided at an optimal cost.
  • Regularly evaluate the status and the effectiveness of the recruitment plan, recruitment programs, processes and policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all management and provide advice when appropriate.
  • When requested by the Manager take part into meetings and handle minutes of the meetings, if necessary distribute them to the relevant parties and ensure follow up on any action or items useful for the Department.
  • Update or develop relevant materials (manuals, presentations, invitations, memos, etc.) following the instructions of the Manager and following corporate standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare and assist with logistical arrangements as required (air travel, hotel accommodation, airport transfers, rental car bookings, etc).
Learning & Development management & deployment
  • Support the implementation of Learning & Development policies, processes and programs to develop and retain quality people who provide outstanding and distinctive service and customer care. 
  • Assists in the local learning and development needs analyses in line with the heads of departments.  
Performance Management
  • Support the HR Business Partner and the CFO in the performance management process design and management.
  • Pro-actively lead activities around performance planning and evaluation advice, incl. performance management mediation.
  • Provide communication material and design campaigns around Performance management.
  • Act as a pro-active subject matter expert for senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Career Development
  • Contribute to shaping organisational approaches for talent management.
HR Projects
  • Assist the HR Business Partner and the CFO on HR projects within the scope of own competences
  • Any other duties that aim to the achievement of the department objectives within individual competences.

Requirements and qualifications
  • Bachelor level in HR / Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English. Dutch is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HR environment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Organized, able to work according to priorities.
  • Good ability to listen.
  • Good Interviewing skills.
  • High sense of confidentiality.
  • Willing to learn.
