Two new generation Airbus A330-900neo are joining the two current A340-300 in Air Belgium’s fleet. These new aircraft are offering even greater flight experiences with the latest technologies on board and better environmental performances.  

Purpose of the position...

The Cabin Appearance & Supply Chain Coordinator will plan, manage and coordinate all operational activities in the light of aircraft cleaning and cabin appearance. Additionally, he or she will also take the lead in effective and cost efficient supply chain management for catering and cleaning supplies. He or She will be the designated replacement and back up for the Catering coordinator. 

Main activities and responsibilities…

  • You will be actively involved in the setup and maintenance of a high quality supply chain program that will be tailor made for the exact needs of Air Belgium with regards to rotable and disposable equipment, heavy galley equipment, cabin dressing supplies and F&B products.
  • You wil closely monitor the performance of the cleaning suppliers, both in homebase and outstations. This through on-site inspections, cabin reports and feedback from the airport duty supervisor team, both for passenger and cargo aircrafts within the Air Belgium Fleet. 
  • You will develop and maintain the exact instructions for cleaning for each type of aircraft within the fleet, for each destination. The documentation is to be updated based on the schedule or product changes and will be the guideline for the suppliers to reflect the high quality standard of Air Belgium in the appearance of the cabin towards our customers. 
  • You will manage the internal stock of materials to be available at all times depending on our flight volumes. You will also closely monitor the stock reports that have to be produced on regular bases by our suppliers that have a stock of supplies for Air Belgium within their organization to assure there is never a disruption in delivery flow. 
  • You will maintain excellent relationships with the suppliers of Air Belgium’s designated products, make arrangements with them, follow-up on their performance and report back to the management. 
  • You will follow up the invoicing process and match it to the quality delivered for all cleaning, inflight, and supply chain related subcontractors. Pay for what we get is key to this.
  • On top of the previous, you will reflect the supplier performance to the Service Level Agreement that has been established, to make sure the correct bonus/malus on the invoicing is applied.
  • You will coordinate the Duty free and Buy on board set-up and ensure the floating stocks are correctly kept track of, and that the delivery flow from supplier towards the aircraft is correctly followed up on by all involved parties.
  • You will support suppliers by providing demand forecasts based on flying programs.
  • You will be the key person in terms of supply chain related data.
  • You will act as designated replacement for the Catering coordinator in case of absence. When the case, the follow-up of catering delivery quality, on board catering checks and ordering correct amounts for all pax and cargo flights will be of essence. 

Profile Requirements...

  • Experience working in a highly regulated, technical environment with responsibility for providing guidance and monitoring consistency in relation supply chains and stock monitoring.
  • Ability to work to agreed SLAs with multiple suppliers; evidence of successfully delivering quality outputs to pre-determined standards and timescales.
  • Experience of continuous improvement activities in complex and regulated environments and within a fast moving/changing framework.
  • An effective and energetic team member, working with colleagues to deliver common goals and objectives, keeping the passenger comfort and convenience highly in scope at all times.
  • Able to balance multiple tasks in a time sensitive way, ensuring service standards are not compromised when meeting challenging deadlines.
  • A pro-active individual, who invests in stakeholder relationships, and ensures delivery to requirements, relying on team support where appropriate.
  • Shows aptitude and desire to keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments; understands how changes outside Air Belgium can affect local technical requirements in our day to day operations.
  • Strong business English is an absolute requirement fluent Dutch and French is a plus.
  • Computer savvy.
  • Experience in supply chain process modelling within the airline industry.
  • Experience with SGHA and airline industry standard contracts and habits.
  • Experience with cabin dressing and procedures for cleaning  is a plus.
  • Experienced within stock control and stock management.
