Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium, Air Belgium now focuses exclusively on cargo operations out of Belgian airports carried out on its own behalf and on behalf of third-party customers via ACMI and charter. Currently operating a fleet of 2 Boeing 747-8 aircraft primarily serving routes to China and destinations worldwide, Air Belgium is poised for growth with plans to expand its fleet in 2027, further reinforcing the CMA CGM Group’s position as a leading player in global air freight.
Your Role:
To ensure good coordination between line maintenance providers and minimise the impact of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the ability of the fleet to operate the scheduled flights.
What are you going to do?
- Focal point of contact of Air Belgium for the Line Station providers for routine matters as scheduled maintenance, disruptions, changes in aircraft schedule, needs of Flying Support Engineers.
- Ensure accurate reporting over the technical disruptions and AIMS data accuracy on the matter.
- Monitor deferred defects, communicate to all affected stakeholders on generated impacts and plan corrective actions with the contracted Maintenance.
- Act as the central coordination and communication point in case of AOG. This includes parts ordering and logistics, MRO liaison, internal and external customers reporting on progress, and out-of-hours liaison with the OEM and providers AOG support. Ensure accurate AIMS update accordingly.
- Monitor active fleet via in-flight monitoring and reporting systems (Boeing AHM) to anticipate technical issues and mitigate operational impacts.
- Technical support to active flight crew over experience technical issues.
- Day to day line maintenance planning adjustment as required.
What are we looking for?
- Excellent understanding of aviation regulations (EASA, CAMO and part 145)
- Strong knowledge of Boeing B747‑400/800 systems (type rating or proven experience is an asset)
- Holding Part 66 license is an asset.
- Previous experience in a similar position is an asset.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written, is a must. French and Dutch are assets.
- Computer literate with good administration skills, comfortable with MS office.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A natural communicator who enjoys teamwork and can stay cool under pressure
- Proactive and hands-on, you take initiative.
- Familiarity with EnVision or equivalent MIS.
