Purpose of the position

To ensure good coordination between line maintenance providers and minimize the impact of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the ability of the fleet to operate the scheduled flights.

Main activities and responsibilities

  • Focal point of contact of Air Belgium for the Line Station providers for routine matters as scheduled maintenance, disruptions, changes in aircraft schedule, needs of Flying Support Engineers.
  • Ensure accurate reporting over the technical disruptions and AIMS data accuracy on the matter.
  • Monitor deferred defects, communicate to all affected stakeholders on generated impacts and plan corrective actions with the contracted Maintenance.
  • Act as the central coordination and communication point in case of AOG. This includes parts ordering and logistics, MRO liaison, internal and external customers reporting on progress, and out-of-hours liaison with the OEM and providers AOG support. Ensure accurate AIMS update accordingly.
  • Monitor active fleet via in-flight monitoring and reporting systems (Airbus AirmanWeb, Boeing AHM, SkyWise…) to anticipate technical issues and mitigate operational impacts.
  • Technical support to active flight crew over experience technical issues.
  • Day to day line maintenance planning adjustment as required.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Experience as line maintenance technician on complex aircraft.
  • Experience in a CAMO approved on complex aircraft.
  • Technical knowledge of systems of modern Airbus (A320/330/340/350/380) aircraft.
  • Good command of spoken and written English is a must, French and Dutch are assets.
  • Computer literate with good administration skills, familiar with MS office and e-mail system.
  • Having Part 66 license is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar position is an asset.
  • Good organizational skills and track record in setting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and under the operational pressure.
