Currently operating a fleet of 2 Boeing 747-8 aircraft primarily serving routes to China and destinations worldwide, Air Belgium is poised for growth with plans to expand its fleet in 2027, further reinforcing the CMA CGM Group&#8217;s position as a leading player in global air freight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your Role:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Material Controller you will be the backbone of Air Belgium&#8217;s aircraft parts operations, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time, protecting the company&#8217;s interests across procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are you going to do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Provisioning &amp; Inventory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate material supply with contracted pool and maintenance providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritise cost-effective sourcing for urgent AOG and Critical A orders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor parts loans and consignment stock to minimise rental costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage inventory counts and liaise with finance on related invoicing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain and position Fly Away Kits across the network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Warranty &amp; Compliance<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure warranty cases are processed efficiently by maintenance and pool providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record standard differences between delivered and returned parts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approve or reject requests to upgrade pool parts standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify and contest abnormal wear and tear charges where appropriate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Procurement &amp; Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evaluate material proposals from brokers and uncontracted providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate materials for Base Maintenance checks, including prep and shipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the sale of surplus materials to maximise company value<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Source specialised materials for ad hoc projects as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Logistics, Quality &amp; Finance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Optimise the cost-vs-service balance in material transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and partners to maintain smooth operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions to improve quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor KPIs including fleet dispatch reliability and supplier performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate financial records including invoices and receipts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are we looking for?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Secondary school qualification, technical orientation preferred<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Background in aviation is essential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EASA Part 145 environment experience is a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Component acceptance experience is an advantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent English (written and spoken); French or Dutch is a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organisational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confident working independently and making decisions under pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong teamwork ethic and collaborative mindset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in MS Office; comfortable in a professional office environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing and able to work in shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Join Air Belgium on this exciting journey as part of the global CMA CGM Group!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-base-2-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-52009084 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-radius:10px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we offer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next to a correct and modern compensation package &#8211; the ability to work in an airline environment where you can have impact and will be embedded in a team of aviation enthusiasts&nbsp;.
