About the vacancy…

The Operations Controllers are responsible to oversee Air Belgium’s flight operations in the broadest sense possible. They have both a focus on short-term as well on future operations planning. They are at the heart of Air Belgium’s operations and ensure efficient execution of the daily flight schedule with focus on safety, regulations, customer and operational costs.

Operations Controllers are in the driving seat for the smooth operations and execution of the network plans and for fast and accurate decision when times are a bit more rock and roll. 

The reporting line goes to the OCC Manager.

On a more detailed level, the OCC oversees all daily operations (maintain schedule, fleet allocation) , do flight planning as well as follow up. Since OCC controllers are at the crossroads of all airline operations, they equally liaise with all stakeholders. They work pro-active but when required perform an active irrops management In addition they initiate the emergence response process, when required.

About the profile...

Since we are currently setting up the OCC department, candidates are required to be experienced in airline operations and have to be familiar with EASA regulations.

The ideal candidate has followed a flight dispatcher training and has a proven capability of balancing priorities in a complex organisational context. Experience with tools such as AIMS/PPS/Aviobook is a serious pro.  Work is organised in shift patterns.

Equally important is eagerness to be part of a can-do team.
