About the vacancy…

The Ground Operations Officer is key to guarantee smooth organization of our operational processes. She or he is involved in the administration and updating of relevant manuals in order to be compliant with the regulations laid down by the BCAA. As member of the Ground Operations team he or she supports of the department through the processing of reports, through the procurement process for Ground Operations, presentation material and correspondence.

The Ground operations Officer will, amongst other things, assist the Ground Operations Manager in preparation of manuals (i.e. Ground Operations Manual, Ground Operations procedures & Weight and Balance) and co-ordinate distribution to parties so that all handling staff and Service Delivery Manager receive information on time. He or she will follow-up of ground operations incidents, liaise with 3rd party to collect relevant and requested information enabling the management to take adequate corrective actions.

He or she will arrange and follow-up HOTAC/travel organisation for Ground Operations Staff or others participating in Ground Ops sponsored activities and submitting these arrangements to relevant parties.

In short, the Ground Operations Officer is the administrative jack of all trades supporting the colleagues focussing on day to day operations.

About the profile...

The ideal candidate obviously likes to work in a team to which he or she is a key contributor. A limited experience in an aviation or travel context is essential as well as an excellent command of the English language.

Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and aviation security would be an asset, but if you come with eagerness, an open mind and genuine willingness to learn and engage in your team we will be happy to train you.
